Harsdorff was of great importance for the education of Classicalism architects, not least the student C. F. Hansen whom many regarded as the master of Classicism. Harsdorff did not manage to build much himself, between his main works counted Frederik V's Chapel at Roskilde Cathedral and Erichsen's Palace at Holmen's Canal. However, Harsdorff nevertheless succeeded in contributing to Danish Classicism which, by silent means and a fine sense of detail, can easily assert itself internationally.
This is volume 3 in the series "De byggede Danmark", which tells about the most important architects in Danish architecture. The book is written in Danish.
