One day, architect Ole Schjøll entered the door of A. Petersen with a stool and a stack of sketches of the stool under his arm. He wondered if it could be developed and maybe put into production?

The idea for the stool is originally from Ole Schjøll’s time at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Architecture, where he designed and made a mockup model. Since then, the model has been stored at the Architectural School’s furniture collection, but now the stool is – with the help of cabinetmaker Peter Leth, wicker Tenja Skotte, graphic designer Max Bragt and a social education program for young people – further developed and put into production as part of the AP. Series.

Thus, a design idea has evolved over time and has become a beautiful, functional and very durable stool that benefits many in the process of creation and is the epitome of high craft ambitions.
